Not the healthiest cake in the world but good for a cake or a pudding
Boil together til like jam:
500ml cold water
2 tsp baking soda
370g SR Flour
Cream butter and sugar, gradually beat in eggs, add flour, boiled dates and vanilla.
Bake 190°C for about 50 mins
Toffee sauce to turn it into a pudding:
300g brown sugar
1 cup butter
Bring to the boil and simmer 10 minutes.
