This is really a dessert. - Nice with icecream or yoghurt but also good as a cake for leftovers
2 apples, peeled cored and chopped
1 cup sugar
125g butter melted
1 large egg
1.5 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
half tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
half tsp nutmeg
half tsp all spice
1 cup sticky raisins
half cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 180°C
Chopped apples in mixing bowl with sugar and stir. Stand 2 - 3 minutes
Blend melted butter and beaten egg into apple
Sift dry ingredients, add, stir until just mixed
Add raisins and half walnuts
Grease 22 cm flan tin (loose bottom if poss) Spread mixture, sprinkle walnuts on top and gently press.
50 minutes at 180
Let cool 10 minutes, turn onto rack, coat with icing sugar.
